The official website for the next CG anime feature film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has launched a 60-second second teaser revealing Piccolo's new form in which he unleashes his secret power for the first time, along with a second key visual. Piccolo infiltrates the Red Ribbon Army facility and discovers a massive plot in the trailer while being attacked by Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, the Red Ribbon Army's freshly built ultimate androids. When confronted with these formidable foes, Piccolo reveals his latent skills and grows immensely stronger.

It has also been reported that the first one million theatergoers would get limited edition Son Gohan and Piccolo cards for the "Super Dragon Ball Heroes" card game (hidden possibly published version). Furthermore, the picture will be shown in IMAX, 4DX, and MX4D cinemas in Japan.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the 21st film in the Dragon Ball anime franchise, after the December 2018 release of the 20th film, Dragon Ball Super Broly. Akira Toriyama, the original author of the Dragon Ball manga, is in charge of the original narrative, script, and character design. Tetsuro Kodama, who worked on Dragon Ball Super Broly's 3D segment, is attached to direct. The film will be released in Japan on April 22, 2022, and will thereafter be distributed in North American theaters this summer.
